Sunday, January 17 was Kit's big day: dedication & first birthday party. Kit was "sealed and dedicated to God" before the congregation of 1st United Church of Christ and many of our friends & family. The chancel choir sang, "I was There to Hear Your Borning Cry," and the congregation even sang "Happy Birthday." Kit was given a special candle, representing the light of God within her, and a f.r.o.g. to remind her to always "fully rely on God." Kit allowed Pastor Gale Green to hold her for a minute but preferred to be anointed while held by her parents!
