Homemade Liquid Fabric Softener

My latest frugal adventure: homemade liquid fabric softener. Here's the recipe -so easy:

Combine 3 cups of water, 1 cup of hair conditioner and 1 1/2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Shake well. Use about 1/4 cup per load, during the rinse cycle.

The great thing about this recipe is that you can scent your fabric softener any fragrance you like, or no fragrance at all, by selecting the hair conditioner yourself. The fabric softener will not smell like vinegar, and it does not leave behind any residue on clothing. I think it actually softens better than what I was purchasing before. Total cost: 35 cents for about 25 loads.
